A lot of folks add a mesh WiFi router for better and more reliable WiFi. To use the Netgear you'd need to disable the modem portion and just use the WiFi. How well that would work as a WiFi extender or how easy to configure it for that use I don't know. Have BGW320 in IP passthrough and then hook it up to a mesh system via ethernet and let mesh system handle your wifi. Personally I use eero mesh system and it works great.
